Fastlane has over 30 years of experience providing fast, efficient and cost-effective same day delivery solutions. We understand that not everyone has used a same day courier before so we thought we’d put together a post about our same day courier process.
Prior to booking, we will require some basic information from you such as the vehicle type required, consignment details (size, quantity and weight), collection and delivery addresses. If you require specific collection and delivery times please include this information as well.
Booking
When the time comes that you need to book a same day courier we have two methods of requesting a quotation. You can request a quotation direct through our website and a member of our team will be in contact. For urgent deliveries, we recommend calling us direct on 01332 665533 where we will provide an instant quotation and despatch a driver for collection as soon as you book.
Collection
Once you have booked we will immediately despatch one of our nearby drivers who will collect within a maximum of 60 minutes regardless of where you might be based, Our typical collection times for major cities is just 45 minutes. If you have specified a specific collection time we will despatch a driver at an exact time to ensure we arrive on-site in time.
During
Thanks to using a dedicated courier service your consignment will travel directly to the delivery point. During this time all of our drivers can be tracked through our Derby traffic team at any time, you can also change delivery addresses, add extra drops, or even change the delivery time once the goods are in transit.
Delivery
Upon delivery, our driver will obtain a signature, printed name and delivery time in addition to any of your own paperwork being completed, and this can be confirmed by telephone call, SMS or even email.
After
With Fastlane our work doesn’t stop once the delivery is completed, we store all paperwork for a period of 6 years minimum this means you can request a copy from us at any time to answer any customer delivery queries or even for logistics auditing purposes.
