Thank you for being a valued customer of Fastlane Sameday. As we are sure you are already aware, the Government has requested us all to take some drastic measures and will continue to do so moving forward. As a company, we have promptly sought and implemented the advice offered by Public Health England (PHE) and The World Health Organisation (WHO). Fastlane Sameday are however, continuing to operate at full capacity 24 hours a day and we are accepting bookings and providing quotations as normal. We are supporting existing customers and the broader UK logistics supply chain with short notice dedicated transport solutions, and are offering back-up and contingency plans to a number of new customers. As a nationwide logistics company, we are extremely mindful, due to the nature of what we do, about the amount of contact we have with our customers and their collection and delivery points. As of Monday 16th March 2020 (until further notice), we will be taking the following steps : We are minimising visitors to our Derby offices and are therefore restricting outside contact wherever possible. All drivers have received specific COVID-19 training which gives them specific guidelines to follow in order to reduce unnecessary contact. All drivers have been instructed to carry gloves, antibacterial hand wipes and gels in their vehicles. All drivers have been advised to stay OUTSIDE of the collection and/or delivery premises wherever possible, and to remain at least 2 metres from any person(s) despatching or receiving a delivery. All drivers will use their own pens only and these will not be offered for use to any third party. They will continue to attempt to obtain a signed proof of delivery, although an increasing number of recipients are REFUSING to provide this, due to their company’s own COVID-19 measures. In the event of this, we will obtain photographic evidence of the delivery or contact you for further instruction. All delivery paperwork will be held in quarantine by us and WILL NOT be handled internally for at least 24 hours following delivery. Should the situation continue to deteriorate, we have plans in place to allow our office staff to work remotely, once again ensuring that normal service levels remain. In the event of this, we would ask you to communicate more via email, and reduce communication via telephone. “ During this difficult period, we feel it is important to unite and to take steps to protect our business and our staff and we also sincerely hope that you, your family, friends and colleagues remain healthy. If you have any questions about the above measures, please feel free to get in touch with our team who will be happy to help in any way they can. We remain committed to ensuring that we continue to support you all, however and wherever possible “ |
